Laguna Technopark was formed in 1989 in response to government’s call for private sector participation in countryside development.
The Laguna Technopark facilities in Sta. Rosa and Biñan are easily accessible; only 47 kilometers from the Philippines’ primary international airport, 50 kilometers from the international seaport in Metro Manila, and 44 kilometers from Makati, the country’s premier business district.
Laguna Technopark’s location in the dynamic Calabarzon region, comprising the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon, which is the most progressive among government identified priority growth centers, allows it to benefit from considerable synergies.
High quality infrastructure available on site include highway-grade roads, digital telecommunication facilities, high voltage power facilities, a centralized sewerage system and waste water treatment facility, and an ample supply of industrial and potable water. With its generally flat terrain, good drainage and soil stability, the Technopark offers investors ideal plant location requirements. Efficient support amenities that ensure high productivity and uninterrupted operations include an administrative center, banks, government representative offices including the PEZA and the Bureau of Customs, medical facilities, a multipurpose social hall, security and fire stations and
external and internal transport terminals.
Strong After Sales.
Ayala Land’s commitment to long-term presence in its development projects is strongly evident at the Laguna Technopark. This majority owner initiated the establishment of the Laguna Technopark Association, a self-governing entity mandated to serve and anticipate the needs of the locators. The Laguna Technopark Association counts as members all locator companies in the park. It was formed to ensure the longterm viability of the industrial estate.
Aside from the maintenance of the Technopark’s common areas, the association’s officers are tasked with the promotion of smooth relations among the locator companies and their employees. In the past, the Laguna Technopark Association has assisted locators in securing requisite government permits as well as hosted fora on relevant taxation and business issues.
Progressive local and global industries engaged in a wide range of enterprises, from automobile assembly, precision and leading edge electronics including integrated circuit assembly and hard drive manufacturing, home appliances,
pharmaceuticals to food processing have chosen to locate their businesses at Laguna Technopark. Among the respected names in the global business operating in the technopark are Amkor Anam, Honda Cars Philippines, Panasonic Mobile Communication (formerly Matsushita), Integrated Microelectronics, Inc., Diageo Philippines, Isuzu
Philippines Corporation, Toshiba Philippines, Golay Buchel, Sun Power Philippines, Nidec Precision Leisure facilities including golf courses and beach resorts, business centers, commercial areas and prime residential villages for executives, are only a short drive from the Technopark. Philippines, etc.
Laguna Technopark in Sta. Rosa and Biñan is part of a well-planned community. Across the Technopark are a series of residential villages including Santarosa Village, San Jose Village and Santarosa Estates. These subdivisions have been developed by Laguna Properties Holdings, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ayala Land, Inc., the Philippines’ premier real estate development company and Laguna Technopark’s major shareholder. They are complemented by educational and religious institutions in the vicinity and a commercial complex to serve the needs of a growing
populace, many of whom are employees of Technopark locators. Eventually, Laguna Technopark will form part of a new regional growth center being developed by Ayala Land. Dubbed Ayala South, the masterplanned development will
integrate a business district, commercial centers, residential villages, and community facilities on over 2,500 hectares of prime property. Ayala South, which straddles several municipalities in Cavite and Laguna, is envisioned to serve as an alternate growth center to Metro Manila.
